Respite Services

It is the philosophy of GOSI that persons will easily transition into and out of respite services and that respite services will be continued as closely as possible to any other services the person received in place of respite services. GOSI will also ensure that:

It is not a weakness to ask for help, and whenever you need someone to temporarily take your place as caregiver for your loved one, we are here to offer you with our respite services. With our respite services, we can provide:

• All employees providing respite services are trained pursuant to GOSI and DDS policies regarding employee training
• All employees meet requirements established by sections 1900 and 994 of Chapter 19 of Title 29 of the DCMR as well as those established by GOSI;
• Respite services are delivered in compliance with all other applicable DDS policies, standards, and procedures, and as outlined in corresponding GOSI policies and procedures

We do not just take care of the person – we take care of the total person. Allow us to take care of your sick or disabled loved one as you go for a short break where you can heal and rest properly.
